Building the Future of Digital Government, Together

The GovStack Women in GovTech Challenge is a global initiative dedicated to empowering women to lead digital transformation in the public sector. By fostering a diverse and inclusive community of practitioners, we aim to close the gender gap in GovTech and ensure that digital public infrastructure (DPI) is designed for everyone, by everyone.

Through hands-on training, mentorship, and collaboration, participants gain the skills and confidence to design and build citizen-centric digital services that are secure, scalable, and transformative.

Our Journey Through the Cohorts

The Inaugural Cohort – Laying the Foundation

2023–2024

The first edition brought together 139 women from 49 countries, creating a truly global network of digital leaders.

Expanding Our Reach

2025: Scaling Impact

Building on this success, the second cohort scaled up with 155 mentees and 53 mentors.

From Design to Implementation – Our Most Ambitious Edition Yet

2026

Our most significant evolution yet! A dual-track model with Design and Development streams, participants will not only design but actually build functional prototypes.

A Thriving Global Community

The Women in GovTech Challenge is more than a training program—it’s a movement. Our alumni network continues to thrive, with members staying connected through events, mentorship, and collaborative projects. We are proud to feature Women in GovTech Ambassadors—seasoned leaders who champion inclusive digital governance and inspire the next generation.
